This takes place on Tuesday, 9th February and is a global event designed to promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people. The theme of Safer Internet Day 2016 is,
'Play your part online for a better internet.'
One way to do this is to be a good friend to others online and spread positivity whenever you can. Children from year 6 will be leading activities and sharing information on this theme with the other children in the school.
The UK Safer Internet Centre website (www.saferinternet.org.uk) is an excellent place for parents and children to find further information and links on subjects such as e-safety, safe practices for social networking and setting parental filters on devices.
