We had a great day out on Wednesday. Despite the weather; windy ,cool and damp, the children attempted all their activities with enthusiasm and enjoyed exploring the different areas of the country park.
Bees and Owls classes went on a plant hunt to explore the different scents of herbs and to make ‘magical potions’. In the afternoon, they collected items to create ‘woodland creatures’ as well as having great fun climbing on fallen trees and using the playground.
Eagles and Owls classes learned how to geo-cache, with teams competing to be the first to find all eight marker posts by following a GPS signal. They also completed a maths trail through the woodland area.
There were a lot of tired children on the coach on the way home after such as active day in the fresh air.
