Christmas Fair raises £660

What a great Christmas Fair!

The Christmas Fair on Friday afternoon was a great success attended by many parents as well as residents of the village. The members of the PTA worked extremely hard to create a wide range of stalls and activities for both the children and visitors to the fair to enjoy. There was a popular cake and refreshment stall as well as a very well-supported raffle with an impressive array of prizes to choose from ranging from Christmas hampers to vouchers for experiences at local attractions.

Father Christmas arrived to a cheer from the children and had a very busy afternoon in his grotto – greeting children and listening to their Christmas wishes. Beautiful table decorations, sparkling Christmas crackers and tasty gingerbread men were created on the craft stalls and Year 6 manned a variety of games where children could win small prizes.

A particular thank you to Mrs Gaffney, Mrs Newman and

Mrs Hines for decorating the Hall and creating Santa’s

grotto; to all the members of  staff who contributed to the

success of the afternoon and especially to our wonderful PTA for making

the whole event run so smoothly.
