Welcome to Tigers Class  

Welcome to Tigers Class! In Tigers Class we are positive, polite and courageous learners who always strive to be the best we can be. Our learning environment is built on the values of mutual respect, compassion and koinonia; we care for and support each other, always striving to ensure that everyone feels happy and included. 

Our favourite time of the day is story time, especially if we are listening to a story by Roald Dahl (we especially enjoyed reading The Witches and The BFG). We enjoy learning across the curriculum , but our favourite subjects are PE, History, Maths and Art. We are working hard to develop our resilience and particularly enjoy a mathematical challenge! In our learning, we relish any opportunity to be creative- be it designing earthquake resistant buildings, making pottery inspired by the Bell Beaker People, or experimenting with making our own Stone Age paint! So far this year, our favourite topic has been, "Prehistoric Times". We especially enjoyed our Art topic on cave painting! Our favourite sports to play, so far, have been Tag Rugby and Badminton (our Year 5 classmates even took part in a Tag Rugby Tournament against local schools). We love celebrating the achievements of others and showing pride in our school and our classmates.
