SEN with Support replaces the old SEN/D register. When we identify a child as having a special educational need and/or disability we place them on SEN with support. This means that they will be participating in more specific provision of class-based intervention, different or in additional to the typical differentiated curriculum in class. The involvement of external agencies might be required but we will discuss this with you and seek your consent before doing so.
Our class teachers continue to hold the responsibility and are accountable for the progress and development of all pupils in their class, regardless of additional or specific needs, including children identified with a Special Educational Need (SEN), English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Medical needs.
