Together, we grow, thrive and achieve
Our priority for all our children is that they feel supported to reach their potential by establishing understanding and empowerment in learning about their own mental health and wellbeing and how to maintain this positively.
We direct them to gain insight into what affects their mental health, how they can manage this and how and where to go to ask for further support in school and beyond. In doing this we aim to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and wellbeing difficulties.
At Littlebourne all of our school community take responsibility for empowering positive mental health and wellbeing and all school staff oversee the Mental Health and Wellbeing of our children.
When children need access to help they will seek this support from trusted adults in our community.
To support this process all children are monitored throughout the year at key intervals using a variety of measures as part of our provision for all.
For children who identify as a concern we aim to implement additional support with input from parents/carers at the earliest opportunity.
If your child is struggling with their mental health or wellbeing please arrange to meet with their class teacher in the first instance to discuss this further.
